At Crossroads, we strongly believe in the power of the local church.
We couldn’t do what we do without church support - together we are building a culture of life in our community.
You help us to be the church to every client who enters our doors–-but we were never meant to be the only church to the client.
Below are some hands-on, practical ways your church can get involved.
"Cover the Clinic" Prayer Walks
We are looking for churches to each commit to 1 hour, on 1 Thursday morning, of 1 month a year to walk through our clinic and pray. A staff member will greet you and provide you with specific prayer needs and instructions for a self-guided walk through Crossroads Pregnancy Clinic.
Provide Bump Boxes and Tool Kits
Pregnant mothers and father who attend classes receive Bump Boxes and Tool Kits and a Tool Bag as incentives.
Help purchase and build the boxes and kits that are received. This is a great way for your church or group to get involved by purchasing the items for the kits, putting them together, and praying over the Moms and Dads who will receive them.
Become a Church Liaison
Church liaisons can become the bridge between Crossroads and local congregations. Church liaisons have 2 parts:
1-Transition clients into the local church by helping clients find community, discipleship, continued support, belonging, and spiritual growth.
2-Strengthen communication between Crossroads and churches by becoming a voice for Crossroads. Help churches understand what Crossroads does and why the ministry matters, how their church can become involved with needs that Crossroads has, and by sharing upcoming events with the congregation.
Anti-Nausea Bags
We have found that women in unplanned pregnancies who are experiencing intense nausea may be more at risk for an abortion. It seems as if they just can't handle one more thing and the nausea can be the final straw in their situation. So, we developed an anti-nausea kit for our office. The kit contains some natural home-type remedies that can take the edge off, like peppermint and ginger candies, peppermint tea, saltines, mouthwash, and a pair of accupressure wrist bands which can be purchased online at Amazon through on our Baby Registry. Churches can support our ministry through kitting up several anti-nausea bags - a special note of encouragement is always welcome!
